How to Apply

For each 50 lbs. (23kg) bag add 1.6 gallons (6 liters) of fresh water at room temperature and mix. A plastic and homogeneous dough should be obtained. Let it rest for 10 minutes and mix again before use. The mix should have sufficient consistency to be applied with a spatula. Extend the Atria Standard manually over the surface with the smooth side of the spatula first and then use the toothed side to give the Atria Standard a thickness of 3/16” inches or 5 millimeters.

Coverage

Each 50 lbs. (23kg) bag will cover from 55 square feet (5.10-meter square) to 70 square feet (6.50-meter square) using a 1/4 x 1/4 x 1/4-inch (6 x 6 x 6 mm) trowel.

Drying

The minimum cure is achieved after 24 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. Grouting can be done after 24 hours.

Cleaning

Only water is needed to remove the excess of uncured mortar and clean tools.

ATRIA Standard is a thin-set mortar for the installation of floor and wall tiles in residential and commercial application. It also offers a good performance for interior and exterior work at lower cost. Appropriate surfaces
ATRIA Standard can be used over surfaces properly prepared of cured concrete, cement mortar beds, bricks, dry gypsum boards and leveling coats. Surfaces must be dry and free of any dirt or material that may difficult the adherence of the mortar.

Limitations
ATRIA Standard should not be applied over asphalt coatings, surfaces covered with vinyl, wood, asbestos-cement plates, painted surfaces, metal, glass or plastic. It should be used in temperatures above 41 degrees Fahrenheit or 5 degrees Celsius. The adhesive must be protected from freezing for the first 72 hours. Do not use for applications where the material will be subject to water immersion. Additional preparation instructions may be found in the technical and safety data sheet. Storage It can be stored free of humidity in its original package for up to 12 months. Do not let water to contact the product until time of use.
